You can’t make this shit up…
Why in the world would you make an average game with little to no players’ grinder. The response the developers gave was hilarious and I just had to write about it.
According to the developer, the quick level-ups and rapid experience point gain is something that could be confusing for new players. WHO THE FUCK IS STILL BUYING THIS GAME! I highly doubt that you’re getting so many new players and that they’re telling you that this game is too confusing because they’re leveling up faster. Please show me these people.
I’m getting sidetracked. Here’s exactly what they said –
“This has led to pacing issues, such as skill points currently being rewarded too fast, which may be confusing and overwhelming to newer players. We want each decision to invest in a skill or Heroic to be more meaningful,”
The problem with that is there are no meaningful skills in the game. This isn’t an RPG, man. This is a mindless button masher with average skills. I never once sat down and thought about what my next skill point should be invested in because I didn’t care. What’s the point when the game is so shitty and broken?
You tried and failed, to make a good superhero game and you tried and failed, to keep what players you had left entertained with new content. This new update isn’t the answer. No one outside of your hardcore faithful is going to bother doing it. Everyone else won’t bother. I feel like no one is listening to the criticisms that people have for this game. No one asked you to make the game grindier. That’s not going to get people to stick around.
This seems like a last-ditch effort to get more people interested in this game before it goes free to play or gets shut down. It’s amazing at what a flop the fucking Avengers game turned out to be.
Is the upcoming Hawkeye DLC enough to get you interested in Marvel’s Avengers?
I’m Omar. I’m the founder of drakulus.com and the new founder of Petescorner.net. I cover every type of game genre there is and I’m using all of the skills I learned over the last 7 years working on Drakulus to make Pete’s Corner the best it can be. My favorite types of games are strategy, RPGs, and Shooters. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy other types of genres. Those are just my top 3. You can expect my brutally honest opinion on what I think of games in long reviews, editorial pieces, and game news coverage.
